11th - Next MASA meeting - 6:30 at Stoney Meadow Farm, Bonner Springs, KS. As usual, bring a dish to share & we will plan the breed show for this year.

23rd & 24th - K-State Equine Reproduction Conference for Horse Breeders - "From Egg to Foal"  For registration go to www.vet.k-state.edu and click on continuing education. Registration is limited to 20 participants. Horse breeders will be given priority over technicians and vet students. Deadline is February 18.  Fee: $300

8th - K-State Advanced Reproduction Seminar for Horse Breeders: " A guide to understanding your Veterinarian in one day" For registration go to www.vet.k-state.edu and click on continuing education. Registration is limited to 30 participants. Horse breeders will be given priority over technicians and vet students. Deadline is February 18. Fee: $250

24th - Next MASA meeting - 6:30 at Stoney Meadow Farm, Bonner Springs, KS.   Potluck dinner.   A program on equine nutrition presented by Steve Zicker DVM, PhD, DACVIM, DACVN. He is an equine internist with a PhD in equine nutrition. He is board certified in equine medicine and in clinical nutrition. Before joining Hills Pet Nutrition, he worked at the University of California at Davis College of Veterinary Medicine and Littleton Large Animal Clinic in Colorado.  This meeting should be on your "Do not miss list" !

16th - Next MASA meeting - 6:30 at Stoney Meadow Farm, Bonner Springs, KS.   Potluck dinner.  Planning for the August breed show will be finalized. Please be sure to attend.

16th - Mid-America Sporthorse Assoc. Summer Fest Breed Show to be held at White Fox Manor, 17065 S Lackman Road Olathe, KS 66062.   Judge will be Carter Bass.  Marilyn Merrick of Merrick Studios will be on site for photographs.   Click here for the prize list and entry:   Closing date for entries is August 13th.

September '08

8th - At the KCDS meeting to be held this date at Stoney Meadows Farm Arlene Rigdon will give a talk on Sporthorse conformation. This should be an informative session and worth attending.
